That’s all Beckett Weaver and I have ever been. The epilogue was perfect and was such a great way to bring everything full circle! Also, do yourself a favor and sign up for the bonus scene at the end of the book – it’s a real treat! I’m sad that this series is over but I can’t wait to visit the next small town Melanie Harlow cooks up for us! However, what I loved most was seeing this amazing group of friends continue to grow and remain close no matter what. There was a bit of angst thanks to some of Beckett’s old baggage but it was believable and not overdone. I also thought Maddie was a great character, she was a strong and supportive mother to her son who didn’t exactly fit the mold of your typical boy plus she was so good with Beckett’s father. I loved how sweet he was with Maddie’s son and he was the perfect blend of alpha and guy next store when it came to Maddie. Beckett was as great a guy as I was expecting, he didn’t have it easy with all the work at the ranch and being tied down trying to take care of his father, he could have easily turned bitter for all he had to give up but he wasn’t at all.

This final installment was the perfect blend of love story for Beckett and Maddie and updates/closure on all the characters we’ve grown to love over the four books. There’s just something magical that happens in small-town romance series and Melanie Harlow’s ability to draw you into these quaint, friendly, tight-knit communities is amazing. I’ve really enjoyed every book in this series. Will Beckett seize this opportunity to finally tie Maddie down or will his fear cause him to let her slip through his fingers once again? Now, she’s returning to Bellamy Creek with her son to sell her mother’s home, and Beckett’s offered to let them stay with him while they’re here. She may have moved away, married (then divorced), and had a child, but Beckett was never able to shake his feelings for her. As was hinted in Call Me Crazy, it turns out that he’s harbored a crush for his childhood friend, Maddie Blake, ever since they were in high school. Loyal and hardworking, all we really knew was that he left his job on Wall Street to return home to care for his aging father and take over duties at his family’s ranch. Beckett Weaver always had an air of mystery to him in the other books, he seemed like the strong, silent type. I can’t believe we’re already at the last book in the Bellamy Creek series, it seems like only yesterday that Griffin was rescuing Blair after crashing her car in her debutante dress! Now, we’re finally getting Beckett’s story and saying goodbye to this great group of guys. How was it possible that fifteen years had gone by, and I still struggled to breathe normally when she was in the room?
